HUNTER – X

“ORIGIN”

 

In life there are many things that come unexpectedly.  When these events occur, we must be happy in whatever outcome we may get since these things are out of out power to control.  How many hours in our life would we loose if we tried to change things we cannot.

 

Dark Ages

 

The lives of the town’s people are flooded with fear.  Each time the sun sets the streets suddenly dry up.  The town’s people lock up their homes each time the night dawns upon them.  They are locked inside never to open the door or look out the window.  Only a few brave souls remain outside to watch and protect these fearful people.

 

Theses men are the Hunter – X, called so by Dracula himself.  These men are the honored creatures, given birth right to vanquish the dark plague that lurks in everywhere.  These men developed small changes in their blood that left them immune to the affects of a Vampire’s bite.  That is why they do not fear these almost immortal creatures of the dark.

 

The Hunter – X’s do not posses the same might and abilities that the Vampires have yet they somehow manage to win over them.  Only things that give these men the advantage over their enemies are their “sight” which allowed them to focus in on a Vampire in a crowed and their strong faith and will.

 

Present Day

 

Now more people has forgotten the threat that these Vampires posed on their lives and people walk freely and feel safe as they wander in the dark, or at least not in fear of Dracula’s brethren. 

 

The Hunter – X’s still go out to protect these unknowing people.  They are no longer honored therefore they have assumed more normal lives and hold jobs.  Also theses Vampires no longer feared developed many new creations to protect themselves and hide their very existence.

 

One night a pregnant lady was walking home from the hospital when a Vampire attacked her.  Luckily her doctor is one of the few remaining Hunter – X’s who still pursue their bloodline.  With a quick thrust of a wooden edged sword into the heart of this creature it fades away into the wind. 

 

The doctor seeing that this woman would die, rushed her into his office and performed a quick blood transfusion.  She was thankful to the doctor not only for saving her life, but also saving the life of her unborn child.

 

The Vampire world was enraged in learning the death of one of their young masters.  A direct blood-son of Dracula himself, the Vampire that had died would be avenged. 

 

A few months have passed and the lady gave birth to a son.  After his birth dark silence fell over the whole room.  No signs of life came from the child, but the doctor who saved this woman’s life knew that this child is not dead. 

 

Though no heartbeat could be detected the child stirred as his crying mother held him close.  The doctor acted upon this quickly by pretending to listen the newborn’s heart.  The news of this reached both worlds of the Hunter – X’s and the world of the Vampires.  A human born child with no heartbeat and vampire qualities is somewhere out there.

 

As the young child, Paul, grew up, many had observed him from afar.  Each group did not want him with in their world, yet they feared the consequences if he goes to the other side as well.  He was a half-breed of two warring worlds. Not completely human and not completely Vampire.

 

Paul held attribute of both these classes, part of the superior strength and abilities of the Vampires, and the “sight” of the Hunter – X’s.  He suffered no weaknesses observed by Vampires.  He could walk in the direct ray of the sun and not fear death, and he had no “bloodlust”.

 

Paul was always protected by these two groups.  He was a Hunter – X’s by blood so he was bound under the strict rules of the Hunter’s, and he is of direct bloodlines with Dracula so the Vampires dare not let anything happen to their master’s “son”.

 

After an incident that had Paul rushed to hospital, the Doctor that gave birth to him, the same doctor that saved his life, met with this “half-breed”.  He has been an orphan ever since his mother died a few month’s after his birth, he never learned of his true nature.

 

The old doctor felt pity for this young man, and decided to tell him of his history.  Paul learned many things about his own life and from that moment decided to put right what his “father” Dracula has done wrong.  Yet he never wanted to hurt his fellow Vampires, but he promised that he would not let anyone else fell the isolation that he feels.

 

The doctor helped train this young man to follow his own dream.  He not only taught Paul on how to survive against the insurmountable odds against a Vampire, but also the thing he knew in the medical field.

 

To Paul, that doctor became his surrogate father.  The same feeling came to the doctor after taking Paul into his care.

 

At the age of 16 Paul learned of a new ability that pushed his thinking towards his Vampire ancestry.  Paul learned that he could change himself to take on full Vampire appearance, therefore bestowing him with full Vampire abilities and the “bloodlust”.  Luckily he learned to control this transformation, but in times of great stress he loses all inhibition he has on that part of his life and goes into what he has called blood-crave, since only in this form was he yearning for blood.

 

At age of 18, Paul suffered another life changing event that proved his life heritage of being a Hunter – X.  At the deathbed of the doctor, the mystical bond that ties all Hunter – X’s transferred on to Paul.  At the death of the doctor, a weird feeling came over Paul as he felt his heart beat for the first time.

 

After that event unfolded Paul grew up learning what all Hunter – X’s knew, as their life stream flowed through him teaching him off all the things the doctor never had time to teach.

 

Paul is now completely divided, at times completely Vampire with no regards for any human, but only to take the first bite.  Then at part completely a Hunter with no thought of anything but just the kill.  Yet in all this confusion, Paul remained at most part himself, or what he could only call as a “half-breed”.
