10 – Team-Up

            Everywhere that Raptor was Sparrow was just a step behind.  The two had been working together in many occasion, but nothing permanent.  By now with two heroes watching the city many weirdoes, freaks, “wanna be super-villains” are coming out of the wood work trying to prove themselves against these two costumed fighters. 

            By now the two were doing well until one night they saw a group of people trying to break in to a bank.  Raptor and Sparrow rushed into the scene, and the Hunters ambushed the two.  Raptor quickly jumped into the fray while Sparrow stood in one spot only reacting to the assault that was coming to him.  With the increasing number of men still coming the two stood back to back, Raptor drew his fighting sticks while Sparrow stood there waiting for another attack to come his way.

            Raptor attacked fiercely battling the unrelenting mob of attackers.  Directly behind Raptor, Sparrow managed to dodge each attack and with one flowing motion hit his foe with extreme accuracy and strength.  The two fought on until all they could see was a sea of fallen men.  The two stood back to back and for the first time, someone could have made a good comparison of the two weary heroes.

            Raptor stood taller than Sparrow, but each had the same type of build, they were almost identical if not for the suit, the slight difference in height and fighting style.  When they thought the attack was over two more men jumped out.  The four men stood there waiting for someone to make the first move.    They all looked at each other, until the two attackers broke the quiet and rushed in to strike the two heroes.  The two attackers attacked with amazing likeness and the same timing like a pair of synchronized swimmers.  Raptor went along with each blow blocking each blow with his hands, while Sparrow dodged each blow that was coming his way.  When the two heroes had enough of the attackers they began their retaliation.  Raptor began to attack furiously and each swing he threw was countered, he stopped his attack and looked at Sparrow to see if he had any luck with his adversary.  Sparrow moved at a slower pace but each time the results were the same, his opponent dodged the attack and just barely hitting Sparrow as if mocking him.

            Their silence was broken by a loud laugh coming from the two attackers.  “Who do you think you guys are?” asked Raptor.

            “I’m Thunder and my twin here is Lightning,” replied the man that Raptor was fighting.

Sparrow broke his silence, “How lame is that Thunder and Lightning, can’t you guys come up with anything more original or at least one that’s not so stupid,” he said in a voice completely mocking the two.

Blinded by rage, Thunder and Lightning rushed towards Raptor and Sparrow.  The two heroes easily managed the attack, and Raptor realizing Sparrows plan continued the verbal assault towards Thunder and Lightning.  Angering the two more, they lost it all and again rushed the heroes.  Raptor quickly performed and rolling throw while Sparrow quickly sidestepped and threw a kick.
