9 – Hero No More?

            David opened the disk that he had for the past four months.  Inside were the details to use the machine to create a new suit and what seemed like a letter of resignation.  David then proceeded to make his own suit and becoming the Raptor.  The old man did not bother to talk to JC or do anything he knew if JC didn’t believe in himself the he would surely fail.

            Again the five previous Raptors welcomed this new comer.  Since David has already been out and has proven himself, they let him go out and do what he had to.  The night was quiet and nothing happened, but by now many rumors had been ringing about the figure in white and his connection to the Raptor.

            Many of the news stations and newspapers received an anonymous letter telling them to go to the Omega building and wait.  That night on the roof the figure in white and Raptor confronted each other.  The figure in white made sure that the cameras would see what was about to happen.  The two talked and at the end a handshake, showing they were on the same side.

            JC turned on the TV that night and all the channels flashed something about the event that took pace on the roof of the Omega Productions building.  He gave a smile, turned of the TV and began to make his way to his room.  JC sat in front of his computer and went online.  Almost all of the chat rooms were talking about what many referred to as the team-up.

            JC was almost asleep when his phone rang and on the other side was Kristina.  She asked if JC did quit from being the Raptor he replied, “Yeah, how’d you know?”

            “He’s taller, and the suit is different.” she answered.
