Raptor’s Tale

Yin-Yang Origin

7 – Questions and Answers

The two talked for hours, JC asking “hypothetical” questions, on what one should do in a situation when the certain person doesn’t believe in himself.  At this time Kristina had a clue of some sort of what’s bothering JC but can’t place her finger on it just yet.  The conversation ended, yet JC laid there still confused on what he should do.  The phone calls became a nightly routine for the two and each night his voice seemed more urgent in finding the answer that JC expected Kristina to give him.

His “vacation” was almost over and that final night he again lifted the phone and dialed.  The call came later than it usually had been, but still Kristina was there to lend an ear to her cousin.  In desperation JC finally came out with his secret after Kristina picked up the phone.

“I’m Raptor” JC blurted out.  A silence fell on the other line.

“Hello??” He asked, “you still there?”

            “Yeah” Answered Kristina.

“I thought you’d be a little more surprised than this,” he said not detecting a sound of surprise.

“I knew something was up with you and your hypothetical questions, so I put together what you’ve been telling and figured out” she replied, “but I never expected something like this.”

“You have to keep this a secret”

            “Of course”

“Promise me I mean just humor me and promise me,” JC added knowing he could always trust her.

            “Okay I promise”

“Thanks cuz, but I’m still stuck with a big problem here, I have to tell my boss my answer tomorrow”

“Just do what you feel is right and what ever you do make sure you’re happy.”  She added.

They ended their conversation and JC turned on his computer that has been on stand by.  Entering his password ************ he logged on.  He sat there looking at the screen and finally opened up a word processor program and began typing.  To anyone else who would have seen his typing, it wouldn’t have made sense, but to him it was crystal clear.

He entered the Nest that following morning and tapped David on the back.  David turned around and saw JC with his backpack standing there holding up computer disk.  JC then handed it to David, and then went to a small room.  For 30 minutes JC disappeared in that room.  Then he walked out.  Walked passed David and continued on his way.
