What
happens when someone or something suddenly find one thing different in their
environment? What happens when one
finds its self away from what it think is real? What happens when someone or something is removed from its
natural environment?
1-
A news flash interrupts a calming Monday night movie. An explosion in a science lab had occurred. No signs of possible rescue were given. Two fledgling heroes find an opportunity to prove themselves worthy of an unrelenting public. A public who fears what it doesn’t know, a public, which does not want to understand.
Raptor
and Sparrow were rushing towards the burning building while a line of
firefighter tries to stop them. The two
heroes pushed on and finally were able to enter. As the two heroes fade into the smoke, all the firefighters
quickly disappeared in a blur.
The
smoke was thick inside the building and cries for help were coming from
everywhere. Blinded by the thick and
ever growing smoke the two heroes pushed further and further into the depth of
the blaze. Though they moved towards
the voices it seems like they are making no progress.
By
now the heroes have been in the building for 3 minutes and it becomes harder
and harder to catch their breath. Their
grueling rescue stretched out for two more minutes and then darkness. Overcome by the congesting and suffocating
smoke the two heroes finally collapse.
2 –
The
two finally waking up finds their selves trapped in a cage of an overwhelming
inferno. They tried to touch their
burning prison only to burn themselves.
The pain is all too real as they scream in agony. Suddenly a dark shadow emerges from
darkness. The figure seemed massive and
each step it took the ground delivered a great tremor.
A
gust of wind opened the fiery cage and the two made a run. Suddenly the massive figure appeared right
in front of their eyes. With its
gigantic hands, it grabbed the heroes by their throats and dragged them back to
their prison of inferno.
They
tried to fight against the beast but to no avail, they fall prey to their
captor. Now weary of the whole ordeal
the two are put face to face with their captor. The man was a shadow to their eyes. No matter how they looked at the man only shadow fell.
3 –
The
shadow greats the weary heroes with a taunting diabolical laugh. He reveals himself to be the Cerebral Assassin,
and that they are now in his world.
They are now in a world of pure carnage and evil, a world created by the
world’s greatest telepath/psychic. Now
the darkness laughed along with the heroes’ Assassin.
Their
cage dissipates into the darkness, and the figure disappears. A voice that came from everywhere begins a
taunting speech directed to the seemingly helpless heroes.
“What
happens when animals are taken away from their natural surrounding?” a long
pause came… then suddenly the voice echoed out in a firm fearful voice, “THEY
DIE”. The two felt their body being
torn apart and they scream in agony.
4 –
Again
the voice bellows, “How does it feel to DIE?”
Suddenly Raptor collapses on to the darkness then Sparrow fell. Now they found themselves in a white room
being welcomed by a bright light. A
smooth calming voice urged the heroes to come closer. Suddenly the whole scene changes and they fall, and continue to
fall for what seemed like eternity.
Each
hero, each teen looked as the other aged and fall to ashes right in front of
their eyes. A cry for help came from
the dying, a laugh yelled out to cover their suffering. In this unreal plane of existence in mind of
Cerebral Assassin the heroes died, yet in the real world they continue to struggle
from becoming brain dead, more importantly they struggle to stay alive.
Somehow
for a brief moment snapping out of their captor’s death grip Raptor with such
pain and suffering, “I’m dying…” then suddenly he screamed out, “IN YOUR
DREAMS.” The voices responded, “THIS IS
MY DREAM” and with that final thought the two heroes fall into ashes.
5 –
Now
in the real world, Sparrow continues to fight death and then he realizes the
words the echoed in his dying mind, “MY DREAM.” Then a bright flash of light dissolved the endless darkness. The two heroes materialized into the glowing
light. The beast began to shrink into a
small bug. With a firm grasp the united
minds of the two heroes clenched the beast as it cried for help.
No
longer are they controlled, no longer are they to be toyed with. They are now the ones in charge of this
mind. Screams of pain began to
disappear and a great voice emanating from the light repeated the Assassin’s
taunt, “What happens when animals are taken away from their natural
surrounding?” Then in a soft voice that
echoed in the eternity of the mind “IT ADAPTS AND SURVIVES.”
The
two heroes then awoke from their nightmarish dreams. Sparrow, JC, quickly lifted the phone and called Raptor,
David. David picked up the phone.
“JC?”
he said.
“Yeah,
how’d you know it was me?” JC replied.
Then
the two talked about the dream how each of them realized that in a world
created by imagination power is limitless, that in a dream all things are
possible. With that parting thought the
two bid goodnight and was swept away into slumber.
THE
POWER OF THE IMAGINATION IS LIMITLESS, THE VOICE OF DREAMS IS POWERFUL, THE
MIND HOLDS GREAT POTENTIAL AND WITH EVERY WORD SPOKEN, EVERY LINE DRAWN, AND
EVERY THOUGHT ATTAINED OUR POWER GROWS.
